The company President, Mr. Joseph Meir, was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Since graduation from Duke University in 1981, he has been actively involved in the commercial real estate business. In 1984, Mr. Meir joined the Real Estate Department at Prudential-Bache Securities Inc., in New York City, where he became Assistant Vice President. At the investment bank, he put together joint ventures and limited partnerships for new developments throughout the United States. In 1987, Mr. Meir decided to enter the development side of the business and left the investment bank to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in their Center for Real Estate Development. After receiving his Masters Degree, he spent one year with Richard Gordon Interests, a Hartford-based commercial real estate firm, before returning to Raleigh to start Blue Ridge Realty, Inc. Mr. Meir has an AB degree from Duke University, an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke and a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from MIT. He is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, and has spoken at real estate conferences and tax seminars. He is a past member of the Southern 7 Chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a past President and Board Member of The Triangle Area Office Building Association, as well as a past member of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR) and Tacquire. He is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.
Victor Meir was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is an attorney and a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the Tenth Judicial District Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association. While attending law school, he clerked for the law firm of Johnson, Mercer, Hearn & Vinegar in their corporate and real estate departments. His expertise is in the area of contracts, leases and property management. Mr. Meir has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Juris Doctor from Western New England School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Gary Hunneyman joined Blue Ridge Realty in 2015. Since graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Business, Gary has 30 years of a diverse background in accounting, finance, corporate tax, banking and investments. He started his career in public accounting and is a CPA. He has held positions as Director of Finance and Controller for previous privately-held companies including a real estate management firm in Las Vegas. He was also an underwriter for KeyBank providing loans for privately-held homebuilders during the real estate boom in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gary is excited to become part of the team at Blue Ridge Realty. “I’m very impressed by the management team and all of the people I work with. It’s a great place to work”. Gary’s hometown is Rochester, NY where he tries to get back to each summer. He and his wife, Carolyn moved to Raleigh from Las Vegas, NV to be closer to family and friends. In his spare time Gary enjoys traveling, reading, curling, and taking walks with their Shih-tzu, Tazo.
Krystal Meier joined Blue Ridge Realty in 2016 as an Accountant. Krystal was born and raised in Connecticut. She made her way to Pennsylvania after high school to attend Eastern University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Prior to Blue Ridge Realty, Krystal began her career in the real estate market as an Accountant for a high end residential and commercial property management firm in Philadelphia. She moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2016 with her husband Jeff and their dog Rue. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, coaching lacrosse, and spending time with family.
As the Construction Manager at Blue Ridge Realty, Inc., Bill oversees building maintenance, construction, and fit-up projects from inception to completion. He coordinates with the City to obtain the appropriate permits, and works with Architects, Engineers, and Contractors to ensure work is completed properly and up to code. A native of Wilmington, NC, Bill has 26 years of construction experience. He is a Veteran of United States Army, dedicating 13 years to the Service. He earned his Degree at Andover College in Portland, Maine. Bill joined Blue Ridge Realty, Inc in 2010. He brings outstanding expertise and a wonderful sense of humor to the Blue Ridge Realty team. Life outside of the office includes his wife, three sons, and 5 Grandchildren. Bill is also an avid Gardener and enjoys tending to his Rose garden.
Elyse joined Blue Ridge Realty, Inc. in 2015 as Assistant Property Manager. Her responsibilities include; assisting property management, coordinating with the field technicians to ensure tenant requests are satisfied, and accounts payable. Elyse began her career at an International Communications Company as the Operations Manager in New York City. She relocated to North Carolina in 1997, with her husband and 2 boys. She enjoys live music, great food, good friends and, traveling.
Dylan is a North Carolina State University graduate, with a degree in Business Administration - Finance. He started his career as a real estate appraiser in 2009 and since then has worked in a number of positions related to real estate, as a banker with lending products to commercial brokerage, selling and marketing investment properties. Here at Blue Ridge Realty, Inc. Dylan works closely with senior executives to negotiate leases, conduct showings, propsect and handles all of the marketing. He moved back to Raleigh in 2016 with his wife and thoroughly enjoy all of the live music and events that the triangle has to offer.
Pam joined Blue Ridge Realty, Inc. in 2016 . As the Property Manager her multi-tasking responsibilities include managing the day to day operations that support the entire office, responding to tenant needs, lease files, vendors and accounts payable. Pam has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a diverse background in office management, marketing and sales. She relocated to North Carolina in 1999 from New Jersey and enjoys traveling, the beach, and attending her daughter’s softball and lacrosse tournaments.
Tara is the Assistant Property Manager handling site projects and tenant move-ins. Some of her daily activities include meeting with vendors, assisting the daily operations of the office, and completing property inspections. Tara has an extensive event planning and property management background. Tara’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Homeland Security. She has a passion for emergency management and how it goes hand in hand with property management. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hanging out with her puppy Kai, and reading on her porch.
